The holiday season is the time when we all indulge and eat more calories than we should. It’s easy to indulge in high-calorie food during the holidays when you visit friends and family and find yourself tempted at every turn with some delicacy or other. You don’t want to refuse and disappoint those smiling faces, yet you don’t want to ruin your diet either. So, what do you do? The simple answer is to get yourself to the nearest fitness center and work off the weight. Here are some fitness centers in St. Louis that can help you keep off the holiday calories.
Dragonfly Fitness & Training
Dragonfly Fitness & Training offers different types of fitness training for women of all age groups. You can work out in a group training session or go for a more personalized option. Visit at 4924 Hampton Avenue in St. Louis with a prior appointment and have a discussion with a Dragonfly coach. They will assess your current fitness level and recommend the training and classes that will best suit your needs.
Along with completing membership paperwork, they ask new members to buy a $49 Foundation package that includes instruction on squats, hip hinges, pushing, and kettlebell exercises. You can schedule classes online and sign up for the days and times that work for you. They are open all week except Sundays. From Monday to Thursdays, they are open from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. and from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. They are also open from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Fridays and from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays.
Monthly prices for personal training range from $349 to $529. For group memberships, you can spend $149 per month for a three-month training and $124 for a 12-month training. They accept credit cards.
The Fitness Formula
The Fitness Formula, located at 4630 Lindell Boulevard in St. Louis, is open between 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday. On Fridays, they close an hour earlier at 9 p.m. You can visit between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday and between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Sunday. You don’t need to make an appointment.
You can buy a single class pack for $28, a six-class pack for $156, a 12-class pack for $288, a 24-class pack for $456, or a month of unlimited classes for $199. If you want a long-term commitment, consider purchasing a class membership or an open gym membership.
They offer three class memberships: Max, which offers unlimited classes per month; Rise, which offers eight classes per month; and Base, which offers four classes per month. They have different payment options for these. Check on their website. For the open gym membership, you can pay $15 for a day, $49 for a week, $59 for a monthly visit, $49 per month for a three-month commitment, or $39 per month for a 12-month commitment. They accept credit cards.
