5 Winter Festivals to Look Forward to In Saint Louis, MO

Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean there will be a lack of entertaining festivals in the upcoming months. Get out your calendar and schedule your itinerary to enjoy one of these St. Louis events. 

  1. Winter Jazz Festival

Get ready to listen to the smooth tones and cool tunes of the 2019 Winter Jazz Festival scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 19. The fun begins at 7 p.m. at the 600-seat Grandel Theatre at 3610 Grandel Square. You’ll be entertained to the max at the second-annual fest with a lineup of international artists such as John Patitucci, William Lenihan, Brian Blade, Mo Egeston, and many more. Tickets are currently on sale with general admission, including service charge, at $29.75 per person.

  1. 2019 St. Louis Winter Whiskey Tasting Festival – V1

Warm up at the 2019 St. Louis Winter Whiskey Tasting Festival – V1. This tasty drink fest is just for adults and is sure to take the chill off the winter temperature and soothe the winter doldrums. The taste-a-thon is being held on Saturday, Jan. 26, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Molly’s in Soulard located at 816 Geyer Avenue. Multiple brands will be available for your tasting pleasure along with food and music. General admission is $31.48, including fees, and comes with limited tickets. Specialty packages are available. 

  1. Winter Jam Tour

There’s more music on the horizon with the 2019 Winter Jam Tour. On Sunday, Jan. 27, the 360-degree stage-in-the-round comes alive at the Enterprise Center with talented artists that include Newsboys United, Rend Collective, Hollyn, Manic Drive, Ledger, and more. Doors open at 5 p.m. for the pre-jam party, and the music begins at 6 p.m. Admission is $15 per person at the door.

  1. 2019 Lake St. Louis Winter Festival Horse Show

Pony up on select dates in January and February to attend the Lake St. Louis Winter Festival Horse Show that takes place at the 56-acre National Equestrian Center. Less than 40 minutes from St. Louis puts you in the heart of horse country for the day as these magnificent animals make their way through the courses where they show off their talent to the judges. As they go through their paces, you can cheer on your favorite filly or colt. Concessions are on-site, and admission to the event is free.

  1. St. Louis Winter Farmers Market

Spend some time perusing the more than 30 specialty kiosks at the St. Louis Winter Farmers Market being held at the City Garden Montessori School at 1618 Tower Grove Avenue. The market takes place on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be plenty of things to see and do as local farmers, food specialists, and artisan vendors display their wares. There will be free yoga to limber up and live music to get your toes tapping. Admission is free.
